Wei Wei’s falling in love and it’s so clear for the world to see. Nai’s just as in love with her too, meaning it’s just a matter of time before he takes things offline. Yang gets yet another glimpse into how awesome his tutor is, and Yi Ran’s delusional, but it’s not like her friend is any different anyway.
Top 10 Moments:
- Wei Wei and Nai He take on the last quest of Condor of Heroes
Pa Shan and Monkey Wine engage in a fight that is soon ended by Nai He who attacks the two of them at the same time (hahaha. Show off). When the boys return back to life, they’re shocked to hear that Wei Wei and Nai He are headed off to the last quest of Condor of Heroes: a quest that no one has ever been able to succeed at. Wei Wei and Nai He though aren’t bothered and head to the temple to get started. Except, the minute they accept the quest, Wei Wei finds herself down a very dark hole, with no way out, and the only way for them to complete the quest is for Nai He to find her within 16 hours. And although Wei Wei and Nai He can continue with their private chat, Wei Wei can’t give Nai He any concrete clue as to where she’s at, except that she can hear water and the website has a line about them needing to trust each other in order to complete their quest.
2. Nai He’s knowledge of “Go” moves him to the next level
Nai He’s journey on the other hand leads him to a cliff where he sees a master waiting. The master explains that he’s been at the cliff for thirty years and hasn’t been able to search for his missing apprentice because of an unsolved game of “Go” that’s been keeping him back. He asks Nai He for help and the minute Nai He puts forward the correct piece, the game clears and the master gives Nai He a scroll to help him with the next stage. He also gives him a pendant to pass on to his disciple, should Nai He come in contact with the man, and Nai He heads to the cliff to move on to the next stage. Magical stone steps steps pop up to help him with crossing over and by the time he gets to the next stage, he runs into stone dragons whose attacks he’s able to successfully dodge, after which he destroys them all.
3. Nai He clears the last stage and he and Wei Wei win Candor of Heroes (Whoot Whoot! Awesome!)
Next up, Nai He’s asked if he is willing to risk everything he has and owns in order to save his love. He agrees to the battle and he and the apprentice go at it. But when the apprentice notices the pendant his master had given Nai He, he realizes that his master hadn’t abandoned him like he’d assumed and gives Nai He safe passage, information as to where he can find Wei Wei and the twin phoenix birds. And thus, Wei Wei and Nai He win the Candor of Heroes quest. Comments pop up about the amazing duo and how unfair it would be if those twin phoenix birds can’t be purchased and are the only one that will be given out in the game (I can so bet that that’s Wu Xiang), and another sent of commentators praise how Wei Wei keeps bouncing back from horrible situations (a la, her getting dumped by Wu Xiang and ending up with Nai He instead). Wei Wei though asks Nai He how he was able to find her and he tells her the secret: he’d taken a screenshot of the ten second hints he’d been given (hahaha. Smart man)
4. Wei Wei’s out of a guild (not like they deserved her in the first place)
On their way back, Nai He asks Wei Wei about hearing that she’s quit her guild. She agrees and tells the story. Apparently Qing Qing who’s one of Enchantress Yu’s followers had accused her of killing monsters that Qing Qing had set out to kill. Wei Wei who has no idea that Qing Qing is a member of their guild is surprised when Ni Ni confirms it, and adds that Qing Qing’s a flirt who has a relationship of some sort with Tie Xia, the Guild Master. Tie Xia takes Qing Qing’s side but when Wei Wei’s able to successfully defend himself, he turns the talk around to Wei Wei selling guild potions for personal reasons. Wei Wei though doesn’t see how potions that she personally brewed from herbs she’d personally gathered can be thought of as guild potion. She also insists that Qing Qing tell the truth and apologize, but when Fei Fei and Mian Mian, the rest of Enchantress Yu’s supporters show up and accuse Wei Wei of being unnecessarily harsh on Qing Qing, Wei Wei takes note of Tie Xia’s support of Qing Qing and declares that although she has friends in the guild, the guild is nothing like what it had initially started out to be and so she’s withdrawing from it. Everyone’s shocked at the decision, but Wei Wei stands her ground. Nai He however, is in full support of his wife’s decision.
5. Wei Wei’s in love and everyone can see it (awwww. How cute!)
Wei Wei logs out of the game to gaze, all starry eyed at the image of her and Nai He on the phoenix, riding into the sunset. She’s so stricken that even Si Si notices her lovestruck expression and calls it out to her (hahaha. She’s so totally in love. But she probably won’t admit it any time soon though). Wei Wei though doesn’t say anything but she does continue to smile (awwww. In love Wei Wei is so adorable).
6. CEO Li confirms that he’s the piece of trash that the boys suspected he is
Ban Shan meets with CEO Li for lunch as arranged, and the CEO launches into a tale of how successful Zhen Yi staff are and the plethora of benefits the company gives them. His selling pitch is pretty simple: Ban Shan should come work for them and they would give him all the benefits that he can enjoy: from a car to an apartment to a ton of money. Ban Shan’s honoured by the offer and suggests that Zhen Yi just wait until he’s helped Zhi Yi launch their game, after which he will be willing to work for Zhen Yi. But that in itself is the problem because Zhen Yi wants him to come over with the game ideas so they can develop it together and make a ton of money (what a scumbag). Ban Shan tries to explain that Nai’s the brains behind the game but CEO Li’s convinced that Ban Shan’s selling himself short. And even more, he’s sure Ban Shan’s just speaking out of a false sense of loyalty to Nai. However, they’re students, which means that the chance of them succeeding is quite low, but should Ban Shan pair up with Zhen Yi, then his chances of creating a great product would rise. And then, to add the icing on the game, CEO Li offers Ban Shan a monthly salary of 120,000 Yuan, minus the commission benefits of course.
7. The delusional calls to the delusional (seriously though Yi Ran. You’re an idiot)
CEO Li gets back to CEO Zhen with the news that Ban Shan requested some more time to think about it. CEO Zhen replies that he should give Ban Shan a couple more days and then try again, but this time around, with triple the sign-up bonus, because they have to bring Ban Shan onboard so they can more easily poach the others. Yi Ran who overhears the conversation wonders if it isn’t unethical (sweetie, if you’re asking that question, then you’re even dumber than I thought). CEO Zhen though paints himself as a benefactor who’s willing to help the young ones so they don’t lose their way in the development of their ideas (hmmph! What a liar). Yi Ran is of course only concerned about Nai but CEO Zhen tells her that he will make another offer to Nai after he’s taken his entire team away from him. Yi Ran heads to Nai’s dorm, but when she sees him, she ducks out of sight. She then meets with Nana to tell her of her plan to confess everything to him, but she’d chickened out at the last moment. Nana thinks it’s a good thing she hadn’t confessed because, firstly, there’s no way to sugarcoat it: CEO Zhen is the bad guy, and secondly, should it work, Yi Ran will get to work with Nai (yeah. Because any entrepreneur will feel happy to date the niece of the man who ruined his company. Damn this girl’s an idiot). She then shows Yi Ran a picture of Nai sitting next to Wei Wei in archeology class and states that opportunities show up just like that. Wei Wei who’d taken an archeology class to get close to Nai (pfft. Such an idiot), got her opportunity and so Yi Ran mustn’t waste hers.
8. CEO Zhen might think he’s smart, but he’s got nothing on Nai
As expected, Ban Shan showing up at the meeting was all a scam as when he gets back to the dorm room, he regales the boys of how the meeting went down. Nai doesn’t seem surprised at all (well, he had been expecting it to go down like that), and is instead invested in the blueprints of their new office building which just came in. The boys are all excited at the thought of having a gorgeous secretary but all their hopes are dashed when Nai informs them that he’s hired a programmer with a phobia for women, and so: no, female secretaries (hahaha. Poor guys). But then talk turns serious as Nai picks up from where they’d left off. He figures that CEO Zhen will try and cut any sources of investment that might otherwise acquire in other to box them in. Unfortunately for him though, that was all part of Nai’s plan as he has no intention of going through with the mobile game anyway. What he plans to do is enter for a competition to help develop a sequel for Feng Teng’s “Dreaming of Jianghu” (i.e. the game he and Wei Wei are always playing), a competition that he’s well aware that Zhen Yi will also enter for (let the battle begin. Hehehehe).
9. Well if you’re already falsely accused of theft, while not go all the way and actually do what you’re being accused of (hahaha. I so love Wei Wei)
After Yang successfully completes the junior high school Maths questions that Wei Wei gave him to solve, he asks her to let him watch her play her game. She agrees and Yang’s in awe of her amazing skills. He’s just as blown away when Wei Wei pairs up with Nai He to kill-steal the monsters Qing Qing had in her sight (that was what Qing Qing had falsely accused Wei Wei of doing back when Wei Wei had been a member of the guild). He then asks to play the game for a while, and Wei Wei lets Nai He know that her friend wants to play. Whilst she prepares some snacks, Yang calls her back to tell her about Qing Qing logging into the chatroom to make Wei Wei look bad for kill-stealing her monster, and taking the adamantium reward . Everyone sides with Qing Qing, until someone puts up a video of what actually happened, and then both Qing Qing and the rest of the chatroom fall silent. Yang correctly points out that Qing Qing is all about making herself look pitiful so she can get the support of others and Wei Wei replies that anyone can act pitiful. To prove this, she mentions in the chatroom that she feels disheartened at how she’s been so falsely victimized even though she’d been innocent. The post has Yang nodding, Yong Hou and Ban Shan laughing and Nai smiling.
10. Nai He is game husband goals (awwwwwwww)
Nai logs onto the chatroom to offer a high price for the purchase of all the adamantium that the players are willing to sell. Everyone’s surprised and when they ask why he’s offering so much for the metal, he replies that he’s getting it so his wife can have as much as she wants to play with (hahahahaha. So cute. And take that Qing Qing!). Wei Wei smiles as do Ban Shan, Yong Hou and Mei. Wei Wei then points out that the user who’d posted the video that shamed Qing Qing must have been the boys, and they admit to it, stating that they’d created alternate accounts and had been stealing all of Qing Qing’s monsters for so long that she’d even had to kill them because of it. Wei Wei calls them wicked, and they reply that they were acting under Nai He’s instructions. When she then calls Nai He awesome, they scowl at how unfair she’s being (hahahahaha. So cute).
Character I wanted to bitchslap:
No one in this episode.
Headache inducing moment:
None in this episode.
This episode’s a Watermelon-Hibiscus-Lime Cocktail, deliciously sweet, tangy and exquisite. From watching Nai He and Wei Wei successfully complete the Candor of Heroes quest (which was the primary reason Nai He had given Wei Wei as the reason why he wanted to couple up with her), to Wei Wei standing up for herself and deciding that her old guild doesn’t deserve her and she doesn’t have to stay with them, to her falling in love. Every moment was exquisite. Oooh, Wei Wei falling in love is the highlight of this episode, coupled with the fact that Nai’s just as in love with her, and unlike Wu Xiang, he is willing to let everyone in the game know. Of course it’s only a matter of time until they take their love offline, in which case, he will be letting the whole school and the whole world know how much he loves her. Oooh. I can handle wait.
