Nai continues to prove that he knows Wei Wei best (even though at the moment, he only knows her via the game). Guang starts his courting in earnest, and decides that when a girl doesn’t like you back, it’s best to convince her otherwise through online gaming and a challenge of a one-on-one with the guy she likes.
Top 10 Moments:
- Yang and Wei Wei’s teacher-student relationship goes both ways
Outside Yang’s house, Guang admits that Wei Wei’s nothing like he had expected. He asks her about Yang’s handicap and she explains that Yang had lost the use of his legs in the same accident that had claimed his father’s life. Guang then points out that Wei Wei teaching Yang about gaming is a bad idea (dude? Why the hell can’t she teach him about gaming?), and Wei Wei chuckles as she tells him that it was Yang who had taught her how to game (Damn, that’s awesome!). Turns out that Yang’s mother had approached Wei Wei for help in convincing Yang to stop playing games and Wei Wei who figured she should try out the games first so she can make an argument against them, ended up falling in love with gaming. So much so that she knows that online gaming gives people like Yang who can’t live their homes, a chance at experiencing a different world. It is also the reason whys he plans to become an online game designer. Wei Wei smiles as she states this and Guang looks intrigued at her (dude. Don’t even think about it. She’s ending up with Nai and that’s that).
2. Wu Xiang and Enchantress Yu fire the first shot (they’d better brace themselves because payback will be a bitch)
Wei Wei heads to her room where she finds Xi logging into Dreaming of Jianghu. Her reason? She wants to play the game well enough so it wouldn’t seem like she lied, should she get the job at Zhen Yi. But she intends to do the job all on her own, so Wei Wei leaves Xi to her game whilst she logs into to her account. Whilst there, she sees that Wu Xiang and Enchantress Yu have entered a video for the competition. She watches it and is horrified to see that in the video, after Wu Xiang and Enchantress Yu defeated their enemies, “Loser Wei Wei” comes running and flailing as she accuses Wu Xiang of dumping her to take up with Enchantress Yu. To make matters worse, Loser Wei Wei, is basically a loser who trips over her own feet and is given to throwing tantrums. Wei Wei huffs at the injustice and makes a comment about the slanderous video. Meanwhile, Nai gets a call from his friends that has him running to check out the video as well. His friends are all up for him to log in and flag Wu Xiang’s post, but Nai shoots that down as he has a more sophisticated way of handling it (ooooh. Wonder what that is).
3. Wei Wei has no intention of having a boyfriend (hehehehe. That’s what she thinks anyway. Nai’s coming your way soon Wei Wei :D).
Guang spends his time in class, daydreaming about Wei Wei with a smile. When he finally spots her later that day, jogging on the tracks, he joins her. She’s wary to see him, especially when he points out that she used her card four times, meaning she’s also jogging for her classmates. Guang though has no interest in reporting the incident and even admits that he’s quite pleased that he and Wei Wei had meant thanks to his article. Of course he’s flustered and flounders as he tries to explain that he’s thankful because his error led to them meeting. Wei Wei smiles as she’s well aware of what he means, but when he asks her if she has a boyfriend, she turns serious as she replies that she doesn’t have a boyfriend and has no interest in getting one.
4. Xi and Guang meet and it’s not the most pleasant of meetings (they’re soooo going to end up together. Hahaha)
Xi gets to her class late and tries sneaking in. She pulls it off without being spotted, but by the time she finally gets to the seat she’d reserved, she finds Guang sitting on her spot. To make matters worse, he refuses to move for her (hahaha), and Xi eventually has to move to another seat. Unfortunately for her, the next seat is bad and Guang mocks her so much about her constantly sliding down her seat that she snaps. Her lecturer calls her out on it and she quietens, and turns the seat around so she’s just sitting on the bars. Guang mocks her some more about it and a furious Xi literarily kicks him off his seat (hahaha). Guang comes back shouting, although the two of them have to quieten when the professor points out that they’re disturbing the rest of the class.
5. Nai He gives Wu Xiang a well-deserved beating (hahaha)
Wei Wei logs back into the game and is surprised to learn that Nai He challenged Wu Xiang to a fight. She heads over to watch the match with the rest of Nai He’s friends and they bring her up to speed. Wu Xiang will drop two levels should he lose the challenge, but because Nai He had stated that he will be leaving out two items for the battle sequence, Wu Xiang will be considered a chicken if he doesn’t show up. And sure enough, Wu Xiang shows up with Enchantress Yu and her minions in place. He moves in for his duel with Nai He, but Nai He defeats him in seconds (hahaha. That was so satisfying), and Wei Wei tells him to delete the slanderous video.
6. Evil calls to evil. Or in the case of Nai, that mean streak is shared with his friends (hahaha)
Nai He’s friends ask what Nai He would have done should he have lost his match with Wu Xiang. Nai He isn’t worried about his possible loss as he replies that he at least has his wife (*swoon*. That’s so cute). His friends then tease him about it being easy for Nai to say so because they all know that Wei Wei’s is just as able to handle Wu Xiang. One of them logs offline, then comes back in to inform the others that Wu Xiang has deleted the video. Learning this depresses them as they’d apparently been planning on hacking into Wu Xiang’s computer, cleaning out his account and stealing his wife as well, if he hadn’t kept to his promise (hehehe). Wei Wei calls them devious, and she’s pleasantly surprised when they reply that they’re nowhere as bad as Nai He (ahhhh. Beautiful scheming Nai He. How I love you).
7. Wei Wei’s falling for Nai He (now all that’s left is for her to fall for Nai as well)
Nai He takes Wei Wei to a more secluded spot as he explains that he knows she is quite capable of handling the situation on her own, but he had wanted to quickly act to shut up the gossips (a man who readily admits that his girl can handle her problems all on her own wins in my book). Wei Wei pulls back from the game in amazement as she realizes that Nai He is explaining himself to her. Soon she’s daydreaming about Nai He whilst she’s at the library, and even starts to sketch an image of Nai He in her notebook. Nai meanwhile is also thinking of Wei Wei (he’d seen her jogging on the tracks) and he pulls up Wei Wei’s coursework to study it.
8. Guang’s quite intent on pursuing Wei Wei but Wei Wei just isn’t interested
Whilst Nai takes to stalking Wei Wei online, Guang takes a more physical route and waits for her on her way home. She tries avoiding him but he spots her, and when she insists that there’s no need for him to take her to a meal in order to apologize, Guang shifts base and offers to walk her home (pshaw. The guy just doesn’t get it!). He also tries calling her when she gets to her room. Unfortunately for him though, Xi’s the one to pick up and she curtly tells him that Wei Wei’s not home, just before slamming the phone down. Wei Wei notes that Xi is angry and when Xi asks her if Guang is interested in her (Wei Wei), Wei Wei agrees, but insists that she doesn’t like him back (good for you Wei Wei!). Xi takes to wailing that if Wei Wei doesn’t like Guang who’s rated number two in their school (in terms of looks and attractiveness), then that means she has to aim for Nai then (hehehehe). And just as if summoned, Xi notices Nai walking by their dorm and calls Wei Wei to come look at him. Both girls sigh (and I’m sighing right along with them), and Xi after seeing Nai ignore a girl who was extending a love note to him, declares that he really is as cold and as distant as everyone says he is. Wei Wei though brightens as she declares that she’s found a way to turn Guang down, and she intends to use Nai’s name to do so.
9. Wei Wei gets Guang off her back (although something tells me she’s just picked up Yi Ran in return. Drats!)
Guang shows up yet again and Wei Wei calls him out for a talk. She doesn’t know though that Anna’s eavesdropping on the conversation, when she tells Guang that she can’t be with him. When Guang insists that nothing is standing in the way of them being together, Wei Wei tells him that she can’t because she has a crush on Nai (awwww. Something tells me Nai will be delighted to hear that news). Guang is crushed at the news but when Anna shows up to mock him about Wei Wei, the lover of flashy cars rejecting him, Guang corrects her that the information is false and she should lay of of Wei Wei. Anna though is insistent on digging dirt on Wei Wei, and informing Yi Ran that Wei Wei also likes Nai.
10. Guang’s all for games now (and I feel so sorry for him because I know he’s soo going to lose).
Guang heads back to his room where he whips out the photo he has of Wei Wei and stares at it. His roommates catch him at it and guess that he’s staring at his girlfriend. He denies it, so they guess that he must have declared his feelings to Wei Wei and she rejected him. Their advice? Get interested in something Wei Wei likes as a means to connect with her. Guang immediately remembers Wei Wei’s love for gaming and has a classmate look into Wei Wei’s online gaming account for him. He then heads to the basketball court with his friends where his friends point out Nai who’s at the moment with his friends, playing a game. After confirming that it really is Nai, Guang challenges Nai to a basketball game (hahaha. Poor Guang. He’s so going to lose. I wonder what the hell he was thinking?).
Character I wanted to bitchslap:
No one in this episode.
Headache inducing moment:
None in this episode.
This episode’s a Buttered Toffee cocktail because watching Nai take down Zhi Shui was so sweet and satisfying, I had to go back for seconds. Hahahaha. It was entertaining to watch Zhi Shui posture and strut, especially because a man like him who believes that a woman’s worth lies in her beauty is most likely a believer in the fact that a man is only as worthy as how strong he is. And for Nai to defeat him, and to defeat him so easily at that, must be a bruise to his ego. I hope he takes a couple of episodes off to go lick his wounds, but something tells me the man wouldn’t back away that easily. As for Guang, sure he apologized at all, but I’m still smarting from him making assumptions from Wei Wei getting out of a car, and I have no intention on forgiving him any time soon. Even if Wei Wei had been with a man in that car, it was none of his business and the fact that he thought it was, has me pissed as fuck. So no. I don’t want Wei Wei getting together with him.
