A gem like Soo Ho can only be one kind of boyfriend: attentive and sweet and cute and adorable and Bo Nui’s luck is in high gear because he is quite the catch. Dal Nim gets her makeover, is heartbroken that Soo Ho’s the guy Bo Nui likes and then snaps to her friend’s defense when the need arises. Seol Hee finally gets it that Soo Ho actually likes Bo Nui and our couple is happy in love.
Top 10 Moments:
- Bo Nui breaks the internet
The next morning, after spending most of the night waiting in front of Soo Ho’s house and leaving after deciding that the fight and break up was most likely for the best, Bo Nui asks about Soo Ho when she runs into Dae Hae on her way to the Zeze office. Dae Hae figures Soo Ho’s his same grumpy self but tells her that from what he’s seen Gun Wook is the better fit as he’s young, rich and successful unlike too sensitive Soo Ho. Besides, who wouldn’t want a man like Gun Wook who packs lunch for her. Whilst Bo Nui’s still dealing with that fact, Soo Ho and Gun Wook come running in to point out that reporters had taken a photo of Bo Nui with Gun Wook and the headline all over the internet is that she’s Gun Wook’s special someone. Soo Ho catches up on the news as do the other Zeze employees who are all up for Gun Wook and Bo Nui dating. When the agreed consensus is for both Zeze and IM to put out reports about the false claim, Gun Wook, staring at Soo Ho states that the report is true though, Bo Nui is his special someone even if it is that she doesn’t return his feelings (dude, not cool. That’s her place of work. Come on). Immediately the Zeze staff, oohing over the fact that Gun Wook has a crush on Bo Nui, start chanting for Bo Nui to accept Gun Wook’s heart. Bo Nui, not able to deal with all runs out of the room where Gun Wook meets her and selfishly insists that he won’t lie or hold back his feelings when she points out how unprofessional he just acted. Seol Hee agrees with Gun Wook’s actions as being unprofessional but lays the blame of Gun Wook’s crush on Bo Nui because she was the one that made Gun Wook fall for her (like seriously? How does this girl’s mind even work? In what universe is the blame on the girl who’s the unwilling crush?). She tells Bo Nui to stop floundering between the two men and would have continued speaking except Gun Wook leads her away. Bo Nui runs into Soo Ho on her way back and when she tries to explain that there’s nothing going on between her and Gun Wook, Soo Ho tells her that he doesn’t care. He does care though because when he enters his office, he considers going right back out to meet her but then changes his mind.
2. Bo Nui finally realizes what she does wrong and Seol Hee’s still delusional
Alone on the rooftop, Bo Nui tries praying to the spirits so she can stay strong and tries using the multiplication table to distract her thoughts. But it only reminds her of Soo Ho and she breaks down in tears at which point Dal Nim comes running to comfort her. Bo Nui cries to her friend that she thinks he hates her now and she should be relieved but she’s in pain and multiplication isn’t helping. She wails as she tells Dal Nim that she knows how he must have felt now, all alone, and she made him feel worse by hurting him. As Dal Nim hugs her, Bo Nui finally admits to herself that she likes him which is why she feels so sorry for him. Meanwhile Gun Wook’s taking Seol Hee to task for how mean she’s being to Bo Nui. Seol Hee admits that she’s being mean but blames it on Bo Nui trying to juggle both men’s affections. When Gun Wook explains that it’s all because of Bo Nui’s superstition because Bo Ra’s ill, Seol Hee flashes back to her conversation with Soo Ho where Soo Ho stated that he didn’t want to see Bo Nui unhappy and smiles as she comes to the conclusion that what Soo Ho is feeling for Bo Nui isn’t love but sympathy (seriously, how does this woman think?) and she won’t believe otherwise until she sees it with her own eyes.
3. Soo Ho’s a Maths solving drunk
After crying her eyes out up on the rooftop, Bo Nui returns to the office with red and swollen eyes and the atmosphere turns taunt. Dal Nim on the other hand runs into Gun Wook just as he’s about to enter the Zeze office and she sits him down to ask him not to make Bo Nui’s life harder. Gun Wook though doesn’t believe Bo Nui’s suffering because of him, whilst Ryang Ha, who’s been eavesdropping on the conversation is delighted to learn that Bo Nui has no interest whatsoever in Gun Wook (hahahaha. Ryang Ha’s so delighted for Soo Ho. It’s cute). At home, Gun Wook interrupts Bo Nui’s praying session to pray that she gets over Soo Ho (seriously though), and figures that she deluded herself into having feelings for Soo Ho because she didn’t want to seduce a stranger (seriously dude, go away. There shall be no ruining of my tiger couple). Whilst Bo Nui’s hoping that that’s the case, she gets a call from Soo Ho and although she’s able to resist it the first time, she answers the second time he calls. Only, it turns out to be Yeong Il calling because Soo Ho’s drunk off his ass and solving maths problems; all the while Soo Ho’s muttering to himself that if he’s able to solve it, then Bo Nui will come to him (hahahaha. Drunk Soo Ho’s even cuter than smitten Soo Ho, if that’s even possible). Bo Nui makes to leave immediately but Gun Wook tries to stop her, pointing out that should she run to Soo Ho then things between her and Soo Ho aren’t really over.
4. Drawn to Bo Nui like a homing beacon
Turns out things aren’t over after all because Bo Nui goes running to Soo Ho and when she finds him lumbering from side to side because he is utterly sloshed, she tries to help him only for him to jerk his hands away and tell her that he doesn’t need her. Except, the man who doesn’t need Bo Nui, in his drunken state, walks all the way to her house. Bo Nui quietly calls him a fool and wonders why he came to her house and in a sad voice, he replies that he missed her and wonders how he can miss her so much when he hates her. When Bo Nui tries to get him to head home, he drunk topples into hugging her and as he cries, he tells her that seeing her makes him happy. She leads him to her apartment and tucks him in although he rises like a jack-in-a-box, calls her name then settles back into sleep. Bo Nui smiles at the sight then apologizes that it’s her fault, stating that she’d approached him first when she shouldn’t have. As she watches him sleep, she strokes his hair and then places a gentle kiss on his cheek (awwww). The next morning though, Soo Ho remembers his flailing from the previous night and decides that he should just die (hahahaha. So cute).
5. Bo Nui runs towards her happiness
Bo Nui isn’t at home when Soo Ho wakes however. She’s at the hospital where a nurse after warring within herself shows her a notepad that Soo Ho has been filling when he comes daily to the hospital to check on Bo Ra. He comes, takes her stats (Awwww. Soo Ho), asks the doctors when Bo Ra will come out of coma, and then takes pictures of Bo Ra so Bo Nui can still see her sister even if she’s not physically able to (awwww. Soo Ho). He also tosses in a couple of pictures of himself with his hands curved like they’re claws and mouths that he’s a tiger. Bo Nui’s so touched by it all that she runs to meet Soo Ho. Except, she meets him on the way and as she stares at him, she thinks to herself that her happiness is standing right in front of her and states, as she starts to run, that right now, she’s running towards her happiness. Seeing her, Soo Ho figures that she’s made her decision and breaks into the sweetest of smiles as he flings open his arms and Bo Nui runs straight into them (Gah. My heart. Finally. Finally). As she looks up at him, she tells herself that she’s the one who didn’t know how to love. Back at his house, Soo Ho’s all spazzing and dancing as he screams yes all over his apartment (hahahaha) whilst Bo Nui breaks into a sweet happy smile in her house as she smiles at the drawing of her family and asks Bo Ra with a sweet smile that she did right, right?
6. Soo Ho’s roaring to go and Dal Nim gets a makeover
Whilst Soo Ho’s parents are dealing with the fallout of their meeting with him, what with his father making plans to sell the fishery whilst his mother states that they should stop being Soo Ho’s parents because they have no right to call themselves such, Bo Nui finds the man of the hour asleep on the steps leading into her apartment. He informs her when he startles awake that the night was too long so he came the minute he woke up (hahahaha). When Bo Nui points out that if they head in together, people at work would discover and things could become awkward, Soo Ho demands that she logically explain why it would. They then snort and break into mutually happy smiles (Gah. This couple slays me) and then walk away arm-in-arm. Meanwhile, at the Zeze office, Ryang Ha is totally oblivious that the new pretty girl in the office is Dal Nim, post makeover, and he hits on her. When she speaks and he realizes it’s her, he moans about his mistake. In the office everyone’s amazed at how pretty she looks and even Soo Ho states that she has big eyes (she of course faints when he says this. Hahaha). When she and Bo Nui have drinks later and Bo Nui tells her the good news about her relationship, Dal Nim is thrilled for her and states that she and her would have to go on a double date because it would seem like her crush is starting to see her. When she asks Bo Nui who Bo Nui’s new boyfriend is, Bo Nui drops the news that it’s Soo Ho and when Dal Nim tries to take comfort in the fact that it’s all because of the fortune telling, Bo Nui corrects her that she’s liked Soo Ho from the very start. When it’s Dal Nim’s turn to dish on who her crush is, she acts coy and doesn’t say, but heads straight to the cafe to threaten Ryang Ha for having led her on all along. When she trips as she makes to leave, various men all flock around her, pushing Ryang Ha out of the way when he struggles with them to get to Dal Nim. As they lead her away, Ryang Ha after his hard landing, wonders what’s wrong with him (I have the word for you. It’s a 7 letter word that starts with ‘S’ and ends with ‘N’).
7. Dating in the office
Riding high on love, Soo Ho’s undergone a total transformation from participating in the employees’ lunch hunt, to buying them all pizzas and then pulling Bo Nui into a hug when she sneaks into his office to offer him a slice of pizza (awwww), as he tells he that he’s been dying to hug her (bigger awwwww). When Bo Nui asks him to promise to eat regularly and get enough sleep, he finagles a kiss out of her (hahaha) and when he walks by the employees workstation, he subtly brushes Bo Nui’s hands with his fingers and then holds onto her hand (cute). He even sends off Ji Hoon so he can get some time to make kissy faces with Bo Nui and even Dal Nim finds it adorable when she spots them. They finally head to the rooftop to work together, all the whilst holding hands and chuckling that they’ve been very stealthy and no one knows that they’re dating. Cut to Seung Hyun taking all the money because she had been the one to bet that Bo Nui would choose Soo Ho (hahahaha). Bo Nui and Soo Ho even go for a picnic date and even though Soo Ho’s uncomfortable with water, he chooses a lakeside for their picnic because he’d read through 18,000 blog posts and his findings tilted more towards a lakeside picnic as being romantic. He also adds that he chose to wear a blue shirt because percentage wise, it’s highly satisfying. Bo Nui considers it cute and the two of them do their cute mutual snorts and smile again (Gah. They’re just too cute). They then get into a mini argument about Soo Ho wanting Bo Nui to call him oppa whilst Bo Nui insists on calling him “Soo Ho” and then go for a bicycle ride where Bo Nui tells Soo Ho that she’d always felt her name was cursed, to which Soo Ho thanks her for having been born (awwwww).
8. Declaring boyfriend status
After their picnic, Bo Nui leads Soo Ho to the marketplace where she buys some charms. Now used to her superstitions, he’s all ready to accept the charms but then gets huffy when he realizes that they aren’t for him. Just as he’s glaring that they’d better not be for Gun Wook, Bo Nui tells him that they’re for his mother. At that moment, some passersby identify Bo Nui as Gun Wook’s girlfriend and Soo Ho introduces her as his girlfriend, then asks them if they don’t have any phones when they don’t recognize his genius self. (Hahahaha). Walking back, the bag with Bo Nui’s charms falls into the river and Soo Ho, ever eager to please his new girlfriend jumps in to retrieve it. When he notices just where he’s at, he has panic attack (hahahaha) and then milks it for all his worth and gets to rest his head on Bo Nui’s lap (our boy truly is a genius). He then asks Bo Nui to let him come along with her when she hands over the charms to his mother. Bo Nui’s surprised but pleased. However, when they get tot he fishery, no one’s home and Soo Ho’s dad is visiting Yeong Il who smiles as Soo Ho’s dad apologizes and asks him why it’s so hard for human beings to offer apologizes and thank you’s to their families. When Yeong Il brings up Soo Ho’s father shouting that Soo Ho is his son, Soo Ho’s dad walks away as Yeong Il tsks about the man’s temper.
9. Ryang Ha caught in the middle
Seol Hee rushes to Gun Wook’s apartment after hearing a message he’d left her. His number’s not going through and he’s not at home, and she leaves him a message in turn, asking that he get back to her because they’ve started to receive reports (I’m guessing about his father?). She heads out and fortunately is able to spot Soo Ho and Bo Nui being all lovey dovey outside her apartment because they don’t want to separate from each other for Soo Ho’s four day trip. The sight has the truth finally finally sinking in and she goes drinking all the whilst wailing to an unfortunate Ryang Ha who she’d dragged to the bar about not expecting Soo Ho to have fallen for anyone else but her. When she wonders why Soo Ho fell for Bo Nui when she, Seol Hee, is so pretty, Ryang Ha gets a call from Dal Nim which Seol Hee intercepts and soon, both women are drinking together and wailing about their love lives. When Seol Hee brings up the fact that Bo Nui’s weird with all the salt spraying and all, Dal Nim gets pissed, because Bo Nui’s her friend and the only person to whom Dal Nim’s willing to give up Soo Ho. Plus, Seol Hee broke Soo Ho’s heart ten years prior. Filled with righteous indignation, she starts to yank at Seol Hee’s hair and bite her (hahahaha) and when Ryang Ha attempts to intervene, he’s beaten for his troubles (hahahaha).
10. Separated by distance but still connected by their hearts
Dae Hae gets stuck in the revolving doors at Zeze and is helped by a man who claims to be an electrical repairman (I don’t trust that guy at all. Looks shady). The next morning has Soo Ho and Ryang Ha bidding farewell to the employees at Zeze as it’s the two of them that are flying out together for their trip. Of course Soo Ho bids a special goodbye to Bo Nui (cute) and Bo Nui puts in a lucky charm application she’d developed for that purpose, onto his phone. Soo Ho tells her to trust that he’ll be okay and then tells her not to cry should she miss him. They burst into that mutual snort-smile again and Ryang Ha gets all huffy that they’re being too obvious when they were all insistent on trying to secretly date. The two lovers finally separate and spend the entire time with Soo Ho on his trip chatting nonstop with Bo Nui alerting Soo Ho as to when he should eat and sleep and Soo Ho asking her if she misses him. She holds herself from saying the words but later that night, when he says he’s about to board the plane and asks her if she misses him, she finally admits that she does and that she misses him a whole lot. Soo Ho then replies that she should come open the door then and when she opens it, it’s to find a grinning Soo Ho telling her that he couldn’t wait any longer to see her. She leaps into his arms and he carries her in.
Character I wanted to bitchslap:
Because making a public declaration is bad enough, doing it at her place of work is not acceptable. It speaks of how inconsiderate he is in not allowing her maintain her professionalism. And knowing fully well how private Bo Nui is about things like that, and the fact that she had already rejected him once, ousting it all out like that isn’t right. It’s like he’s twisting her arm to get her to say yes and that pisses me off.
Headache inducing moment:
Because not only is delusional idiot 1 all, here’s my feelings, I will heap it all on you whether you like it or not, delusional idiot 2 actually has the audacity to blame the unwanted emotions on Bo Nui. Like this is a bashing the victim situation and it’s annoying and frustrating and argh! How can anyone think like this? Like seriously, how? This is one step away from blaming a woman for her rape. So sorry for bringing such a downer subject to an otherwise sweet and utterly amazing episode.
This episode’s a first kiss punch. It’s so sweet and so happy and gets us so much in the heart with how happy and in love our leads her. Like honestly, we’ve always known that Soo Ho would be the sweetest boyfriend should Bo Nui say yes and he didn’t disappoint. My mouth hurts with how widely I grinned throughout this episode.
