Agreeing to disagree often opens the floodgates for love to come rushing in. Bo Nui hears the good news about Bo Ra being on her way to recovery and realizes that there are two meanings to spending the night with the tiger. Soo Ho continues to fall more and more in love and finally reaches the point where he accepts Bo Nui’s belief in the superstitions and is willing to help her by tapping into that belief. And it’s a beautiful thing to see.
Top 10 Moments:
- Bo Nui returns home to good news
Whilst Soo Ho and Gun Wook get into another argument with the former worried about Bo Nui making a grave mistake and the later latter believing that she is strong enough to not follow through, Bo Nui spends the night by the ocean (thank heavens she didn’t do anything stupid!) and then places a paper boat with a wish to her parents in the sea. As it floats away, she makes her wish that they should look after Bo Ra because she plans on joining them all should Bo Ra leave, and then returns to her house where Soo Ho and Gun Wook are back to fighting about the success of both their paths. When Gun Wook spots Bo Nui, he makes to go after her but is held back by Soo Ho who tells him to leave Bo Nui be, since the most important thing is that she returned home safe (and this is why you man are amazing. Seriously, you’re really amazing). Bo Nui gets home and finally looks at her phone. When she notices a missed call from the hospital, she calls the nurse who delivers the good news that Bo Ra moved her finger whilst in the moving van, thus they brought her back to the hospital. Bo Nui hurries to the hospital to confirm the good news and soon she’s dancing along the street, happy as a bird that her sister has regained consciousness.
2. Bo Nui learns she spent the night with the Tiger
Whilst Gun Wook is still dealing with Bo Nui’s sudden news that Bo Ra woke up, and Soo Ho is having a nervous breakdown at the office because Bo Nui still hasn’t shown up at the office, Bo Nui is instead with the Shaman who is finally back from his prayers and who is surprised that Bo Nui claims not to have spent the night with a tiger and yet Bo Ra woke up. When he asks her to think carefully on whether or not she’s spent the night with a tiger, Bo Nui flashes back to the night until she realizes that that night, she hadn’t gone back to her house but had instead gone to Soo Ho’s house where she had technically spent the night with the tiger (so now it’s a case of semantics huh? Not sleep with him but sleep with him. Personally, I think the Shaman’s a quack. Too many damn coincidences and the man is just riding the wave). Delighted that the shaman had been right all along, Bo Nui thanks him profusely and the shaman tells her to be careful as he can still feel her bad energy. Bo Nui thanks him again and tells him that when Bo Ra is fully awake, she will bring her around to thank him again. The shaman just replies that they were destined to meet and smiles after she leaves, taking care to light a prayer candle for her (okay, that’s sweet. Still think he’s a quack though, but he’s a sweet quack shaman).
3. Dal Nim asks So Ho for a favor
After spending the morning arguing with Ryang Ha about her not being the owner of the diary where love confessions about Soo Ho were made, Dal Nim meets with Soo Ho to ask him to convince Bo Nui to come back to Zeze factory (sweetie, I’m sure there’s nothing more he would like to do, but it just can’t be done). She explains that Bo Nui has been taking care of her sister who was in an accident and although Dal Nim had been thrilled that she’d finally gotten over her Zeze jinx belief… Soo Ho interrupts at this point for clarification to which Dal Nim explains that Bo Ra had gotten into her accident on the day of the Zeze job examination. She continues that since that day when Bo Nui had met with the fortune teller who had told her that he would save her sister, Bo Nui changed and now can’t fully function without her superstition as a crutch. As she wonders how exactly Bo Nui will now be, now that she doesn’t have a job anymore, Soo Ho takes note of it all.
4. Bo Nui tells Soo Ho the good news
Back at the Zeze office, Dal Nim is surprised when she spots Bo Nui waiting for her outside. Soo Ho though doesn’t react and simply tells Bo Nui to join him in his office. In the office, Soo Ho exclaims at Bo Nui asking her exactly what she wants him to do, what story the fortune teller has fed her about what he should do, because he’s bothered, so bothered about her that it drives him crazy (Awwww. Admitting to feelings are we Soo Ho). When he stops to catch his breath, Bo Nui apologizes for all the trouble she’s caused him and then tells him the good news: Bo Ra has regained consciousness, and it’s all thanks to Soo Ho. Soo Ho is confused and Bo Nui explains that she was the one that had misinterpreted spend the night to mean have sex with, when in fact it had meant that she should just spend the night with a tiger. As Soo Ho tries to confirm that what she’s basically saying is that because she spent the night in his house, her sister woke up, Bo Nui agrees as she confirms that even the doctors say her sister can regain full consciousness one limb at a time. She expresses her gratitude and tells Soo Ho that she can now get out of his life to which Soo Ho insists that she can’t leave (hehehe. This is going to be good), claiming that a lot of things can still go wrong, plus the fact that Bo Ra has been in a coma for the past two years means that she would need rehabilitation which would cost Bo Nui money she doesn’t have (huhuhn. That’s why you don’t want her to leave. Yeah right). And so he withdraws her resignation letter and tells her to stay right where he can see her so he won’t be concerned anymore (hahahaha. This is too good. Lovestruck Soo Ho, searching for an excuse to keep the girl he likes around him is just too cute). He tells her to go home and rest as that’s his order for the day and Bo Nui heads out to do just that, but not before stopping to tell Soo Ho that he is the nicest tiger ever and she won’t cause him any more trouble). After she leaves, Soo Ho sinks to the floor in relief that Bo Ra’s awake (awwwwwww. You softie you).
5. Seol Hee helps Soo Ho put a name to his feelings
Soo Ho can’t help but burst into happy smiles and laughter as he remembers Bo Nui calling him the nicest tiger out there. He smiles so hard that he even has Ryang Ha worried, and is in such a good mood that when Seol Hee comes to see him, he is not cold with her. Matter of fact, he speaks nicely to her and when she injures herself riding her bicycle whilst wearing heels (I see another one of your manipulation there Seol Hee. Although seriously? You don’t have the sense not to do something that reckless?), he heads to the pharmacy to get her a medicine for her bruise and applies it on her. When Soo Ho grumbles about her recklessness, Seol Hee reminds him that he’s always liked that the fact that she’s a lot of trouble and besides, him being bothered about someone is his tell that he likes the person (you hear that Soo Ho. You like Bo Nui). Soo Ho simply tells Seol Hee not to attempt riding her bicycle but should instead drag it behind her, and then rides off, his head filled with instances of Ryang Ha and himself pointing out the fact that Bo Nui bothers him (you can’t run away from it Soo Ho. Accept it. Embrace it. Hehehehe). He rides even faster, except by the time he pulls to a stop and looks up, he finds himself looking at Bo Nui’s apartment building (hahahaha. Your heart knows where you want to be Soo Ho. Listen to it). He makes to leave, then stops to wonder whether Bo Nui has eaten. Then, he heads to a restaurant to get her a packed lunch, and spots her heading home. Hurrying the person attending to him, he follows behind her, smiling at how happy she is and is just about to call out to her when Gun Wook comes running out and pulls Bo Nui into a hug (drats! Seriously dude. You have the worst timing).
6. Soo Ho is a cute jealous grump
Whilst Soo Ho is in his office, sulking at the fact that Bo Nui keeps smiling at everybody (jealous Soo Ho is so cute), Gun Wook is at the game shoot where the photographer is trying to capture common expressions of happiness and anger that can be infused into the game. Except, Gun Wook sucks at making his face work for him (hahahaha) and spends the time pulling off ridiculous expressions that has even Seol Hee wondering how the hell he can be so bad at it. She eventually has Bo Nui step into Gun Wook’s line of vision so she can help him with his expressions and his lines. Just as Gun Wook is about to start, Soo Ho steps into the room being used for the shoot and so is able to hear when Gun Wook tells Bo Nui she’s pretty (as per the script although we all know he really thinks that). Soo Ho frowns at the words (hahaha. Too cute) and when the director asks Bo Nui to ctually walk hand-in-hand with Gun Wook like a girlfriend, Soo Ho bursts onto the stage and insists that it can’t work because his programmer has to be watching the shoot and can’t be a model. When Seol Hee asks who would be Gun Wook’s girlfriend then, Soo Ho volunteers himself for the job (hahahahaha. Too hilarious, especially with the looks on Soo Ho and Gun Wook’s faces. I can’t even. Hahahaha). He takes his role so seriously, walking arm in arm with Gun Wook and even letting Gun Wook back-hug him that Bo Nui can’t help but take pictures as it’s all happening.
7. Soo Ho turns to the internet to understand his feelings
After the shoot, Gun Wook offers to get dinner with Bo Nui, but before they can head out, Soo Ho stops them by insisting that he wants Bo Nui to present him with all the data gathered for the shoot by 9 the next morning, meaning Bo Nui wouldn’t have time for any dinner plans. Whilst Bo Nui wails at all the work whilst doing them by the way, Soo Ho is grumbling about the dinner offer and Bo Nui’s smile at Gun Wook and then pulls up his laptop as he asks the internet for signs to determine when a man likes a woman (hahahaha. Seol Hee already told you Soo Ho. You’re just not willing to listen). As he reads through the list, he agrees with all the points but justifies them to whimsld. So when he reads that a man who likes a woman would always be curious about her, he agrees that he’s curious about Bo Nui because she always gets into trouble. When the next point states that the man stares at the woman like she’s the only one he can see, Soo Ho agrees to staring constantly at Bo Nui because her desk is just across his office (hahaha. Keep telling yourself that). He disagrees with the other points though, and vehemently claims that he’s not acting uninterested but is actually uninterested in Bo Nui (yeah, keep telling yourself that bucko). The next morning, the man who is uninterested in Bo Nui subconsciously keeps the elevator doors open for her to get on, and can barely hold back his smile when he learns that Bo Nui couldn’t have dinner with Gun Wook the previous night (hahaha. Sneaky. Sneaky).
8. Soo Ho lacks tact but is still utterly adorable
Turns out that the water Dae Hae had left for Bo Nui has adverse effects and soon Seung Hyun (the Zeze girl who has been drinking the water like crazy) has to be rushed to the hospital. Soo Ho interrupts in the midst of Bo Nui’s panic to inform her of the scenario meeting with Gun Wook where Soo Ho dives straight to the order of things by attempting to interview Gun Wook about his parents. When Gun Wook says he can’t speak on it, Soo Ho who can’t read the room or read the undercurrent of emotions threading the place asks why considering that Gun Wook’s father is either dead or divorced from his mother. At the words, Gun Wook leaves and Amy joins him whilst Bo Nui calls Soo Ho out on being a meanie. When she glares at him, Soo Ho affected by her eyes (hahaha. You don’t want her mad at you either. Cute) has her come up to the rooftop where he allows himself to question exactly what’s the big deal and why Gun Wook wants to deny the game players the chance to be a part of his family life. When Soo Ho still can’t understand why Gun Wook would want to keep that part of his life private, Bo Nui calls Soo Ho out on the fact that he never answers his mother’s call. When he tries to interrupt, she calls him spoiled, saying that she herself would give anything to have her parents nag her and yet Soo Ho had had no qualms about writing his parents’ name with red ink. When Soo Ho still says nothing, Bo Nui asks him if he’s aware of his father’s injury. The question surprises Soo Ho, who is even more suspicious when Bo Nui can’t tell him how she knew of the injury. When Bo Nui asks him again to leave Gun Wook’s parents out of the game scenario, Soo Ho stalks off, not wanting to know if Bo Nui is asking as a big sister or the game developer (hahaha. I can never get enough of jealous Soo Ho). Except, Bo Nui’s words about his parents weigh on him and he calls his mother who is surprised to hear from him. When she answers that everything is good at home and Soo Ho asks to speak with his father, she lies that his dad went out to get fishing bait when in actuality, his father is at home and she is at the chicken shop to see chicken Ahjusshi turned oppa.
9. Soo Ho catches his mother in a lie
Whilst trying to get Bo Nui to not go off to meet Dae Hae who Soo Ho is convinced is caught in a pyramid scheme, Soo Ho ends up distractedly staring at her and smiling like a loon and doesn’t know when she leaves him. By the time he comes to, Bo Nui is gone. As he tries to look around for her, he instead spots his mother, waving and acting friendly with chicken Ahjusshi. Bo Nui meanwhile is meeting Dae Hae at chicken Ahjusshi’s restaurant, where Dae Hae is wailing about the mineral water swindlers who had accepted his money and then fled town. And although Soo Ho goes back to chicken Ahjusshi’s shop to see if the man is there, chicken Ahjusshi isn’t there as he is instead spotted by Ji Hoo, one of Soo Ho’s employees, who sees him meeting with the head of an IT company (wait okay, this is becoming suspicious. Could it be that chicken Ahjusshi is really a brilliant IT genius and is Soo Ho’s biological father? Is that why the man who raised him as his son is always so strict with Soo Ho’s supposed refusal to fit in and do ordinary non-genius things? Does the man suspect Soo Ho of not being his son?)
10. Bo Nui sees Bo Ra’s face
After a night spent dreaming of Bo Nui (and grinning like a loon in his dream and still grinning when he wakes up), Soo Ho finds himself outside of Bo Nui’s apartment building and so is able to see her when she walks out with a bouquet of flowers in one hand. He drives her to her parents’ memorial site where she leaves the flowers and thanks her parents’ for saving Bo Ra. On their way back, she starts to hum the same song she was humming in the rain and when Soo Ho asks about it, she tells him the song is titled “Sad Fate”, which is what she is to her family, hence the reason why she doesn’t have any pictures of them in her house, and the reason why she will not look at Bo Ra’s face so as not to jeopardize her sister’s chances of getting up. The words strike a chord in Soo Ho who drives her to the hospital and then has her follow him. But when Bo Nui notices that they’re coming closer to Bo Ra’s room, she tells Soo Ho that she can’t go any further. Soo Ho walks up to her and places his hands on her shoulders, reminding her that she said he is her talisman, so why is she so worried. Bo Nui looks extra sad as she reminds Soo Ho that he doesn’t believe in such things, but Soo Ho replies that she believes in such things and reminds Bo Nui that she’s said that such things work for those who believe in them (awwwww Soo Ho. You are the best), and with that, he walks Bo Nui to her sister’s room where she sees her sister’s face and begins to cry. She tells Bo Ra that she’s finally here and Bo Ra’s fingers twitch when she hears her sister’s voice; something both Bo Nui and Soo Ho take notice of. After telling Bo Ra that they can now see each other, and Bo Ra should therefore open her eyes, Bo Nui steps back outside the hospital room, to tearfully thank Soo Ho, who pulls her into a hug (Awwwwww) and tells her to let him know anything she wants to see Bo Ra so he can come with her (double awwwww).
Character I wanted to bitchslap:
No one. Maybe it’s because we only caught a peep of Dae Hae and he wasn’t too annoying in that glimpse. Or maybe I’m getting immune to Seol Hee’s manipulation; immune or not bothered by it because I know Soo Ho will end up with Bo Nui. Either way, I’m good.
Headache inducing moment:
Bo Nui didn’t do anything stupid and she’s so thrilled that her sister has woken up that she’s willing to give life a chance and I’m thrilled for that. Matter of fact, I don’t miss the absence of a tense moment.
This episode’s a glass of Raspberry Limoncello Prosecco; light and fruity and yet gets you in the heart because Soo Ho in love is cute, adorable, jealous and yet is willing to be a human talisman because it’s what Bo Nui needs to be able to see her sister. That man just makes me float on air. Amazing. Amazing.
