Quick run-through:
Still waters run deep and your knight might just be the one person you least expect it to be. Bo Nui’s desperation rises, causing her to make some mistakes. Gun Wook finally relents and Soo Ho makes a discovery.
Top 10 Moments:
- Bo Nui tries to work up the courage to tell Soo Ho the truth
After pulling away from Gun Wook, Bo Nui hurries to meet Soo Ho who is still in the parking lot. Except, before she can even draw closer, Soo Ho drives off without giving her the chance to say a word. Back in her apartment, she tries and fails to send Soo Ho a text message explaining the circumstance of her strange request and Soo Ho tries and fails to call her. He gets really excited when his phone beeps, thinking he’s gotten a message from her, only to be frustrated when it’s a sales pitch from a bank. Back at the office the next morning, neither Soo Ho nor Bo Nui are at their desks and Dal Nim worries about where Bo Nui’s at. Bo Nui though is practicing the speech she’s going to say, outside the office and looks extra disappointed that Soo Ho still hasn’t arrived at work yet.
2. Soo Ho takes matters into his own hands
Seol Hee pays a visit to Gun Wook, trying so desperately to make him commit to being Zeze’s prototype for the game. She’s so desperate that Gun Wook has to ask her why she’s so keen on him doing the game and why she’s in such a rush too. When she can’t answer the question and just asks him if he would do it, Gun Wook says no. His reason: because he doesn’t like Soo Ho. Whilst Seol Hee is still trying to wrap her head around the fact that Soo Ho and Gun Wook have probably met, Soo Ho himself shows up outside the door to talk about Bo Nui’s behavior from the night before. Except, Seol Hee manages to ingratiate herself into the conversation and soon Soo Ho is only talking from a Zeze standpoint (nothing about Bo Nui) and Seol Hee is getting a whiplash from trying to get if the two of them have met before. Soo Ho cuts to the heart of the matter, he wants Gun Wook to sign with Zeze. When Gun Wook still insists on not doing it, Soo Ho asks what else Gun Wook wants fulfilled as his conditions for signing with them (why am I hoping that Soo Ho is able to convince Gun Wook all on his own so Seol Hee doesn’t get that all-access pass to Soo Ho’s office that she so desperately wants). Gun Wook though doesn’t believe any of his promises as he straight up tells Soo Ho that he doesn’t strike him as someone who keeps to his promises. Most importantly though, he only works with people he likes. With that said, Gun Wook takes his leave whilst Soo Ho informs Seol Hee that he wants a definite answer by the next day, then leaves as well.
3. Soo Ho’s sucks at the whole keeping your distance thing
Back at the office, Soo Ho instructs his team to come up with a whole new set of graphics just in case Gary Choi doesn’t give them an affirmative answer by the next day. Bo Nui is distracted from work by one of the many tigers propositioning her from her social media page and she snaps at him to stop calling her at work and to also stop sending inappropriate images. Except, it’s at that very moment that she bumps into Soo Ho and her phone drops to the floor. He picks it up and sees the images, but just hands the phone back to Bo Nui, not even allowing her to explain herself as he cuts to the chase and tells her that he doesn’t want to know. When he asks her if she’s still thinking of using him as a sacrifice, she denies doing so. But before Bo Nui can actually explain what’s going on, he cuts her off by telling her that her private life is none of his concern. All he wants to tell her though is that she should forget about trying to convince Gary Choi, after all, she seems to be very busy. He of course gives her phone a pointed glance as he says that and then walks into his office where he proceeds to give peeking glances at Bo Nui, wondering why on earth she’s agreeing to meet a stranger in person. Which means, he’s able to notice when Bo Nui closes for the day, and then he proceeds to tail her, taking care to duck and hide whenever Bo Nui turns around, whilst asking himself why he’s hiding in the first place seeing that he’s not doing anything wrong. And even though he tells himself that he shouldn’t be following her, he gets a bright idea when he sees a woman selling masks and gets one to cover both his head and his nose in the most ridiculous getup ever, all so Bo Nui won’t be able to recognize him. Except, the visitor Bo Nui is meeting is not the guy from her social media chat but Gun Wook.
4. Bo Nui makes her sales pitch
Turns out the reason why Bo Nui had convinced Gun Wook to meet with her outside, is to firstly get him to leave his room and get some fresh air, and secondly, so she can convince him to be the model for the game. Whilst Soo Ho is stunned at this blatant disregard of his orders and leaves, Gun Wook wonders if Soo Ho is the one making her try to convince him, Bo Nui simply speaks to the reason why she’d invented the game. She’d done it for Bo Ra. So Bo Ra can go to all the places she wants to visit, do everything she wants to do, and be everything she wants to be, all when she wakes up. And now, she wants to make the game so other sick people like Bo Ra, and healthy people like herself can experience it all. She adds that Gun Wook coming back and them meeting like this seems like fate, and she hopes that Bo Ra too would come back just like Gun Wook had, as that’s the only way she can truly be happy. When Gun Wook asks if she would be fired if he turns down the offer, she smiles as she says no and tells him that she just wanted to ask him one last time. After the meeting, Soo Ho calls Seol Hee to come to his office and she lies that she’s with Gary Choi (something tells me Soo Ho is actually the one with Gary Choi), but agrees to come when Soo Ho insists. Turns out I was right because when Seol Hee gets to the office, it’s to see Gun Wook coming out of the office with Soo Ho. Even better, she and Bo Nui spot and recognize each other, causing the rest of the office to learn that Bo Nui and Gun Wook grew up as neighbors. In the meeting, with Soo Ho, Seol Hee and Bo Nui, Gun Wook agrees to model for the game (I saw your smile there Seol Hee. Don’t even try it. He’s only doing it for Bo Nui. You don’t factor into this, not one bit) but adds that Soo Ho should know that he’s only agreeing to do it because of Bo Nui. Soo Ho agrees.
5. Seol Hee still has us in the dark and Soo Hoo wants his dates back
With Bo Nui and Seol Hee both grateful to each other for the role they both paid in getting the agreement, Seol Hee extends her hands for a handshake and gets sprinkled with salt by Bo Nui who doesn’t want any of her bad luck to come in contact with Seol Hee (Hahaha). Back at home, Seol Hee asks Gun Wook if there’s anything going on between himself and Bo Nui and he calls it as basically as it is: they’re friends who share a lot of memories together. Gun Wook then asks her what happened between her and Soo Ho. She replies by saying that Soo Ho had been bullied and used a lot which is why he’s wary of all those things. And then she adds that he also thinks she used him, and he’s right, she used him in a way (wait what? You’re not going to go into details? Why be so vague?) and then thanks Gun Wook for laying the foundation for her to mend bridges with Soo Ho (girl, just because you come in constant contact with him doesn’t mean he will just lay over for you. I repeat, have you met his mother?) The Zeze gaming team meet at a restaurant to celebrate getting Gary Choi on board. To make it even better, Soo Ho joins them and asks them to take the next day off, even though they’d been expecting to work on said day. They all laugh and cheer and raise their glasses of beer to toast at Soo Ho, who instead picks up his glass of water and drinks it, making a face like he’s drinking alcohol. Bo Nui spots him though and smiles at the cuteness. Outside the restaurant, Bo Nui tries to give her practiced speech but Soo Ho cuts in to say that they will be going on their date the next day. When she says there’s no need for that arrangement anymore, Soo Ho butts in to inform her that she owes him, and this time around he would be the one to determine the time and place for their date. With that said, he runs away (Awww. How cute). Except, for their date, he takes them to meet a fortune teller. This fortune teller though seems more like a fake and Soo Ho can barely keep from rolling his eyes at all her ridiculous antics. Just when the fortune teller is about to write a talisman, Soo Ho uses his logic to shoot all her claims dead in the water. And the best part? He does that for all the fortune tellers he takes Bo Nui to for their ‘date’. (Hahaha. You’re trying to tell her believing in it is all hogwash without coming out to tell her aren’t you Soo Ho?) He’s so intent to keep right on going too, but Bo Nui stops him to tell him that everything he’s doing won’t stop her from searching for a tiger.
6. Bo Nui almost gets kidnapped but is saved by a worried Soo Ho
After telling Soo Ho that she’s well aware that her superstitious beliefs are crazy but she will still choose to believe in them, Bo Nui leaves to attend her late night meet with the tiger she’d found online. Except just as the tiger is handing over his ID for her to confirm that he was born in the year of the tiger, Soo Ho shows up with phone in hand to report a couple of kidnappers to the police. The act threatens the man and he drives off, showing two other men in the backseat who are most likely kidnappers. Soo Ho then proceeds to berate Bo Nui for not thinking logically and Bo Nui snaps back that she’d thought he was trying to help her because he felt sorry for her. Instead, he was helping her because he wanted to make fun of her being an idiot. When Soo Ho tries to deny the allegation, Bo Nui asks him to have sex with her then, because if not, he should stop trying to interfere as she’s already scared and nervous enough as it is, especially because she doesn’t want to do this anyway. She stalks off and Soo Ho, later that night can’t concentrate on his game with Ryang Ha because he’s distracted. Him being distracted is strange to Ryang Ha, as is the fact that he’d requested for a list of fortune tellers the day before. What is most surprising though is the fact that Soo Ho is legitimately worried about what Bo Nui would do (it’s the beginning of love I tell ya. The beginning of love). When Ryang Ha acts stunned, Soo Ho of course immediately turns it to concern for the demonstration of the demo and not wanting Bo Nui to ruin all their efforts. Ryang Ha unfortunately buys the excuse and lets the matter slide (We don’t buy that excuse though Soo Ho. You’re going to have to try harder).
7. Gun Wook is an amazing amazing man and Dal Nim is a girl after my own heart
Back at home, Bo Nui stares at the almost full moon as she explains the condition the shaman had given her to Gun Wook: she must sleep with a tiger before the moon fully rises. Calculating that she has four more days to go, Bo Nui worries that her bad luck is getting in the way, what with the fact that people have even stopped contacting her via the internet (girl, I don’t think it’s your bad luck. I think Soo Ho’s using his hacking skills to drive your potential internal boyfriends away. Out of concern for you of course). When she looks like she’s about giving up hope, Gun Wook reminds her of her words to him that if one really believes in something it would come true. In this case, he knows that her love for Bo Ra is strong enough to get her that happy ending for the two of them and basically tells her to keep her chin up. Whilst Zeze focuses on pulling the all-nighters needed to get “IF” ready for demonstration in four days (interesting, especially because Bo Nui only has four days as well to land her tiger), Seol Hee tries to pump Ryang Ha for information. Ryang Ha though is enamored with her beauty and spills a couple of secrets in the process (that Soo Ho doesn’t date much). Dal Nim shuns Seol Hee as she comes to buy coffee for the team from Ryang Ha’s cafe and when Seol Hee tries to get Dal Nim to get her access to the office, Dal Nim doesn’t fall for it (good for you girl!) and Seol Hee leaves to go convince Soo Ho (all the best with that). After she leaves, Dal Nim proceeds to mock her uppity ways whilst Ryang Ha just calls her beautiful and says Dal Nim should dress more like her, then takes it back that Dal Nim can’t pull it off because she’s not pretty (dude, you’ll be eating your words soon enough. That chick is Lee Cho Hee who played Mal Wol in Mirror of the Witch and she’s fineeeeeeee).
8. The Demonstration
With her night taken up by a definite tiger she finally managed to land through the internet, Bo Nui is able to put her all into her work even as Soo Ho does the same. When he’s about to step out to give his speech, Dal Nim tries to hand him the talisman Bo Nui had procured for him to help with his nervousness, and not only does he ask Dal Nim to bin it, he also does not see Dal Nim’s accuracy for how long they’d been working together for what it is: her gigantic crush on him. He proceeds to then fix in his earplugs and give an amazing presentation about the chance ‘If’ gives you, to live life through the eyes of someone else, and then introduces the first person you can live as: Gary Choi.
9. Bo Nui’s date goes horribly awry and Soo Ho finds Bo Ra
After the presentation, Bo Nui heads straight to the restroom to change. It’s where she’s at when she gets a call from Dal Nim inviting her to the company dinner. At exactly the same time, Soo Ho steps into the very restroom right beside hers and removes his earplugs in time to hear Bo Nui tell Dal Nim that she has plans. Soo Ho, worried for her means to catch up with her but is stopped by Seol Hee who asks him out to tea. He tosses her a distracted agreement and whilst Seol Hee smiles at her good fortune, he hurries to catch up with Bo Nui. He proceeds to follow her to a hotel where she’s meeting her tiger (a smarmy looking man who gives her a creepy once-over). Upon confirming his ID, she follows the man into the hotel, and Soo Ho remembering Bo Nui’s words to not interfere unless he intends to sleep with her makes to leave until he notices two suspicious men carrying cameras, entering the very same hotel (this will not be good). Suspecting the worse, Soo Ho hurries into the hotel and requests for the room of the two men but when he gets there, he’s stumped on what to do. Bo Nui though is waiting for the act to start, so nervous that she rejects a call from a worried Gun Wook and turns off her phone. Just as Bo Nui starts to hide her talismans, the smarmy tiger walks in and wants to immediately get in on the action. When Bo Nui tries to leave however, he pushes her on the bed and is just about to get on with it (in other words, rape her) when a knock on the door and the call “Police” stops him in his tracks. Whilst Bo Nui is still trying to figure out why on earth smarmy tiger is so panicked, the Police barge in and arrest the guy. They also point out the numerous cameras, smarmy tiger had put all over the room, which could have gotten Bo Nui in serious trouble for making a porno. With his good deed done, Soo Ho drives off, whilst a stunned Bo Nui can only ask the police officer for the time. Whilst Gun Wook is practically going crazy looking for her, Bo Nui walks to the hospital where Bo Ra’s at, only to come face to face with Soo Ho looking in on Bo Ra.
10. Soo Ho hears the confession
The truth or dare section reveals that whilst Bo Nui had been practicing her speech to Soo Ho outside the Zeze office, Soo Ho who had come in to hang his bicycle out of sight of Bo Nui had noticed her loitering had drawn closer. So he had been on the other side of the wall when she’d told him indirectly about her little sister who has been sick for two years and for whose sake she would do anything. she adds that a well-respected fortune teller had told her that her little sister would wake up if she slept with a tiger and that was why she’s doing what she’s doing. She’s not looking down on Soo Ho, nor does she consider him a sacrificial offering. Soo Ho then heads out to try and locate Bo Nui’s sister, Shim Bo Ra.
Character I wanted to bitchslap:
If only so Dae Hae can come to his senses and stop squandering away all his money and then coming to Bo Nui for help. I mean, come on man! You’re a grown ass man and she used to be the employee you owned months of her salary; salary you didn’t even end up paying, Zeze did. So act like a fucking adult! Ha! If only a bitchslap can get him to stop acting so damn stupid.
Headache inducing moment:
Seriously girl? You’re in a strange place, with a strange man you’ve never met and you think it is a good idea to switch off your phone?! I was practically screaming at Bo Nui not to be an idiot and switch that phone back on. Like seriously, anything can go wrong. Why would you want to waste precious minutes waiting for your phone to come back up when you should be able to place a call to the Police in seconds.

This episode’s a blackberry vodka sangria. It’s so delicious and so much fun, and now that the players all know the end game: Bo Nui is desperate to save her sister’s life, things just got so much more interesting. It’s also cute, kind of like the way Soo Ho is the most adorable knight in shiny armor ever. I just want to squish him. Adorable!
