Even when you have your eyes figuratively closed, your actions can reveal that your eyes are wide open. Tae Jin and Do Kyung get their confrontation. Hae Young finally tells her parents the truth and we get a premonition that rocked and fueled fantasies. It was another Oh Hae Young Again classic.
Top 10 Moments:
- Do Kyung, the Ping-Pong master
The Other Hae Young invites Do Kyung to 10 games of Ping-Pong and a final farewell at the end of their last game. I like the fact that she’s seeking closure and quite honestly, Do Kyung looks so happy playing with her in the past and you can see that he was truly in love with her. I’m okay with the closure game, as long as things don’t cross a line and she doesn’t change her mind and go all, I want to get back with you.
- Team manager defends Oh Hae Young
Sure it could be because he has a crush on our girl, but nothing’s as appealing as a man who stands up to Soo Kyung to give Oh Hae Young her due instead of taking her off of reviewing the menu for the Korean Restaurant that she suggested her company run away with seeing that other companies aren’t doing that. It’s comforting to know that even if sometimes Oh Hae Young can’t stand up for herself, she has a friend and crush who would stand up for her.
- First steps
Other Hae Young asks Oh Hae Young if it’s okay for her to keep seeing Do Kyung. I was shocked and left wondering how on earth 10 ping-pong matches became dating. Thankfully, Oh Hae Young took the first step in speaking up for herself and tells her No. It is NOT okay. I’m looking at you other Oh Hae Young. You’d better not be planning to get back together with Do Kyung 😡
4. Hae Young in shock
Tae Jin came back and asks Hae Young to a meal. The words reminded her of their break up and the words he’d told her then. She was devastated and so did the same thing she did in the very first episode: walked into incoming traffic. It was terrifying and now I wonder, Hae Young, do you have self destructive tendencies? 😥
5. Soo Kyung’s heartbreak
Soo Kyung’s ex-boyfriend turned out to be a lying cheater who was married. So all those things she was saying in French was her wailing about still loving him even after he’d broken her heart. And the best part, Ji Sang actually speaks French, further helping my intense shipping of the two. They can spend their days and nights, talking French to each other 😉
6. Mama Oh agrees that it’s not a good idea for Hae Young to marry Tae Jin
Tae Jin’s mum meets with Mama Oh and although she acknowledges that Hae Young’s a good person, she still believes Hae Young was the one that cancelled the wedding and asked Mama Oh if Hae Young can change her mind. I’m positively thrilled that Mama Oh thinks it’s a bad idea. She doesn’t know it yet, but Hae Young’s scars run deep. Tae Jin hurt her real bad. Marriage is not the answer.
7. Hae Young tells her parents the truth
Her tears and her mother and father’s shocked face was just heartbreaking, especially considering that moments before, they were telling her to go see Hae Jin once, as per his mother’s request. As they pressed, I was tearing up for Hae Young and the confession made it all so real and painful 😥
8. The Showdown
I’ve been looking forward to Do Kyung and Tae Jin coming to blows and it didn’t disappoint. Tae Jin knows Do Kyung is responsible for the chairman pulling his money out and thus landing him in jail and Do Kyung is okay with that. What he is fighting about though is the cruel way Tae Jin broke up with Hae Young. You softie you. And you’re over here deceiving yourself that you’ve not fallen in love with her. Ha! And by the way, Do Kyung looks hot with those bruises.
9. Family Karaoke session
Hae Young’s family’s the best. They kick ass. Seriously. Your mum calling you for a Goofing off session with your parents after you told them the truth that you’ve been dumped is the best cure for a heartache. They cry with you and sing with you. Awesome these parents. I luff these parents. Luff them so much.
10. Hae Young gets mad and kissed
It’s a premonition so we know it’s going to happen. But Do Kyung has no idea what happened that has Hae Young angry and neither do we. But that kiss against the wall though, even with Hae Young’s split lip looks hot. Smoking hot :D. It’s a perfect way to leave us wanting next week’s episode. Pronto!
Character I wanted to bitch slap:
Amazingly enough, no one in this episode. Even though other Oh Hae Young was being annoying, she didn’t cross that boundary in this episode. I’m taking her words at face value for now and hoping she’s not being sneaky.
Headache inducing moment:
Other Oh Hae Young lying that she’s going to start seeing Do Kyung. The man agreed to a ping-pong match and not a relationship and I screamed at this moment, hoping that our Hae Young doesn’t buy into what the other Hae Young is saying.
This episode’s a several days old keg of palm wine, sweet but with the kick of fermentation and a high alcohol content, intoxicating even as you guzzle it down.
